It’s been a long time coming. I’ve finally found an opportunity to photography my god-daughter. But before I get to the photographs, let me just note a few things. She’ll be graduating in a few months. As a National Merit Finalist, she’ll be a great student for any college. But she decided to attend my alma mater, UCF. I can’t be more proud of her. And it’s not because she’s attending UCF

Amanda

I first met Amanda a year ago when I photographed headshots for the Sawnee Ballet Theatre. Most recently, I blogged about her for this upcoming performance season. Today, I was able to photograph her outdoors to a nearby park. She’s so wonderful to work with, always able to give me a smile. Here are some highlights of the session.

Katie

Over a year ago, I photographed Katie on her way to Homecoming. And shortly after, it was time for her junior prom. This time, she’s going to her senior prom. Soon, she’ll graduate from high school in a few weeks and go to college. We’ll miss having her around and it’s not just because she’s our kids’ babysitter.

KA

No, we don’t call her KA. In the fast pace of online communication, it’s just easier to use her initials. So in the online world, she’s known as KA… at least to me. I wouldn’t doubt it if that’s how her friends type her name when they’re text messaging. One of the things we wanted to accomplish in this session is to take KA’s “senior portraits”. She’s going to be a senior in just a short week. So first, we headed out to KA’s high school.

But this session isn’t really just about KA, it’s also about little sis, A.

And Dad, T.

OK, let’s get back to the “senior portraits”. Here’s KA again, with her prom dress on the rail road tracks next to their subdivision.

And about half way through our shoot, here comes the train.

Betsy

Today is Betsy’s Senior Prom with South Forsyth High School. The weather forecast for today was rain, rain, and more rain. As I was preparing to go to photograph Betsy, I was thinking what a terrible weather day it would be for her. But no, the skies opened up by the time I got to her house.

John came over shortly to pick up his date.
