Last year, I met Annika for the first time. She was shy, quiet, but sweet and did I say quiet? Maybe that’s because she takes her lessons seriously. She was taught not to speak to strangers and that’s what I am. Fortunately, the lesson didn’t prevent smiling to strangers.

    And here are her parents.

Meet Simone. His curly hair reminds me of Tyler, but even more curly. I never thought that I would ever get a chance to photograph Simone (or even his brother seen in a bit). Why? Because Simone lives in Italy. His dad is an old friend of mine during graduate school. But dad now teaches at a university in Palermo, Italy and who ever thought Simone would come to my own personal studio in Atlanta, GA.

It’s hard enough to photograph kids in general, but since Simone is 100% Italian, I have to depend on his parents to get his attention.

Here he is with his mom, Ivana. She cooked an amazing meal for us years ago.

I can’t forget to introduce his brother, Gabriele. These Italian names are hard to spell! Gabriele really likes hamburgers, but as they call it in Italy, “Umberger”.

And finally, my old friend, Antonio.

Seraphim Music has asked me to photograph their Liturgical Harp Retreat at the Amicalola Falls Lodge. During the retreat, I was able to capture a few portraits of Rhett and Victoria.

Over two years ago, I photographed Brian and Alexandra’s wedding. Fast forward to today, I’m photographing their loving baby girl, Savannah. Below is a few highlights from the session. To see the full gallery, (click here).

I’m told Savannah is wearing the same beautiful dress that Alexandra wore when she was a baby coming home from the hospital.

Over a year ago, I photographed Katie on her way to Homecoming. And shortly after, it was time for her junior prom. This time, she’s going to her senior prom. Soon, she’ll graduate from high school in a few weeks and go to college. We’ll miss having her around and it’s not just because she’s our kids’ babysitter.

Here are a few photos of Katie. A full photo gallery is linked (click here).

“Don’t talk to him, don’t look at him.” That’s what Tyler’s dad told me as they got out of the car. It didn’t help that he just woke up. But Tyler’s shyness was well communicated. Fortunately, I got the secret weapon to ease Tyler. It’s a room full of toys and kids his age. So when it came time to photograph him, we brought out the ultimate skyness-killer, the “ball.”

Below are a few highlights, but click here to see the full gallery.

A while back, I borrowed the Canon 85mm L f/1.2 lens from my friend. I’ve finally decided to pull the trigger and bought one. I’m been so excited with it, it has rarely come off the camera. Here’s a few more with the kids.

ok, technically, this next one is with the 16-35mm.

I can’t remember the first time I met Jonathan, but I’m sure it was on the tennis court. And that was years ago. Years later, I get to photograph his family. Meet the Galaif’s.

Such sweet and quiet girls. These two were a joy to photograph. They had enough patience to allow me to work with them in so many places.

Here are a few highlights from an early Sunday morning with the girls.
