Beth and Doug

I previously blogged about Beth and Doug’s wedding in Suches, Georgia. Here’s some more highlights of the wedding followed by the link to the full gallery at the bottom.

One of the most familiar statements I heard throughout the entire day was “you have Fat Tire?!” I’m not much of a beer drinker enough to appreciate what the big deal Fat Tire was to everyone. But it sure put a smile to each person when they realized Fat Tire was in the house.

Here’s Beth in the morning preparing for the wedding with the help of her family. She was calm and collected. Well, knowing her for years, it’s not uncommon.

At Lake Winfield Scott, Beth and Doug had their ceremony. It was a beautiful afternoon as the lake provided for a scenic backdrop with a fresh mountain lake breeze.

And here’s the newlyweds shortly after the ceremony.

In the earlier post, I showed their wedding rings. Doug’s ring is apparently made with carbon-fiber or some high-tech bike technology. Sorry, I’m not up to speed with the latest greatest bike technology as mine was bought over a decade ago. Nevertheless, his ring was pretty darn amazing, perhaps even super light. I guess that’s when he took it off to show one of the guests. Without being there when it happened, the ring must have floated off his hand and landed on the deck, falling into the cracks. I came shortly after this happened to see him try to fish up the ring.

With determination, he was able to retrieve it before the crowbars were needed.

Beth and Doug didn’t have just one wedding cake, they had seven cakes; chocolate six ways and a delicious carrot cake.

I had to photograph this girl as she seemed to be able to best express what a lovely day it was in the North Georgia mountains.

And lastly, a view of the two of them in their back yard as the sun slowly sets over the mountain top.
